ADU Suspends Ugwummadu For Anti-Community Interests


THE former Chairman of Ndokwa East local government area of Delta State, Hon. Chike Ugwummadu has been suspended from participating in any activities of Abala Development Union (ADU).

Members of ADU in a press statement signed by Chief Abel Nwanze, President-General; Hon. Kingsley Opene, Secretary-General of ADU and Mike Dialor, President, Abala National Youth Council stated that Hon. Ugwummadu has on several occasions impasonated members of ADU and engaged in activities that are against the interest of Abala community.

“The leadership of ADU resolved in a meeting held on the 12th day of November, 2013 and ostracised from participating in any Abala Development Union activities for a period of three years,” the statement stated.

Members of ADU noted that Hon. Ugwummadu once tried to change the leadership of ADU but failed adding that Hon. Ugwummadu has also, misinformed the Deputy Governor of Delta State about the personality of Chief Emma Obiechina of Aika, Diakpulu and Umu-Oshele in Abala-Oshimili adding that Hon. Ugwummadu has harassed, arrested, detained and tortured law abiding citizens of Abala.

They noted that Hon. Ugwummadu had in the past written a petition misinforming the state government with a bid to stop the recognition of HRM Obi E.F. Ogbukaa as a royal father, noting that the activities of Hon. Ugwummadu could lead to break down of law and order if not checked.
