Gov. Theodore Orji sitting pretty ahead of the Senatorial election

Ahead of the 2015 general elections, all ward chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have unequivocally adopted the Governor of Abia State, Chief Theodore Orji, as the consensus candidate for the Abia Central senatorial district seat come 2015 election.

The unanimous adoption of Governor Orji was made known in a statement signed by the group’s chairman, Chief Paul O. Meregini, Secretary, Godfrey Ogbonna, Coordinator, Ugochukwu Efem and Publicity Secretary, Chief Patrick Azurunwa.

The ward chairmen who arrived at the decision at the end of a special meeting of Abia Central Senatorial Zone PDP Ward Chairmen’s Forum, held on 12th April, 2014, also expressed their gratitude to Governor Orji for the great infrastructural development projects in the nook and crannies of the zone.

The chairmen congratulated the governor for his recent appointment as the Chairman of Governor’s Forum in the South-East Zone, and for the successful hosting of Mr. President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and PDP National Executive Committee at Enugu on 11th April, 2014.

They further lauded the efforts of the Governor of Abia State for the numerous Youth employment programmes he initiated in the State.

Others at the meeting include: Chief Goodluck Kanu for Osisioma L.G.A., Chief amadi Nwosu for Isiala Ngwa South L.G.A., Godfrey Ogbonna for Isiala Ngwa North L.G.A., Obioma Onwukamike for Umuahia South L.G.A., Chief Anthony Ndubuka for Umuahia North L.G.A. and Chief Patrick Azurunwa for Ikwuano Local Government Areas respectively.
