Gov. Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers state
The Rivers State Government in futherance of its open government policy and effective delivery of democracy dividends to its people, has has commenced its tour of all the wards in the 23 local government areas of the state.
According to a statement signed by Ibim Semenitari, Commissioner of Information and Communications and made available to Blank NEWS Online, the tour commenced on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 with wards in the Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State and is expected to last for two months.
“As we enter the last lap of our administration, it is imperative that we go round to see what governnace gaps remain in our quest to guarantee the life of present and future generations.
“We are determined to finish strong and so we must cross the T’s and dot the I’s. This is a non partisan, non political tour and we would want all parties, persons and interests to please join us in this critical interaction as we make our final push to complete our mandate and deliver on our promises to Rivers people”, Governor Amaechi said.
